Professor Imran Rahman is the Vice Chancellor and the Dean of ULAB School of Business. Alongside his regular duties as the VC, he oversees two key research centers of ULAB - Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) and Center for Enterprise and Society (CES) - and leads the university's international collaborations. He is serving as the Vice Chancellor of ULAB for the second term since November, 2021. Prior to this, he was the Special Adviser to ULAB's Board of Trustees. He joined ULAB in 2006 and the positions held by him since then include Vice Chancellor (2012-2017 & since 2021), Special Adviser-BoT (2017-2021), Pro Vice Chancellor (2009-2012), and Dean School of Business (Since 2006)
He was a faculty member of the Institute for Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University from 1984 to 2009.
He co-founded and managed a merchant bank in Dhaka for about six years.
