This book focuses on voice to the country’s trafficking victims, sex workers, and the children of sex workers and the way towards more effective societal and governmental responses to the challenges they face. It contains find- ings of research work of Center for Sustainable Development (CSD) at the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB), funded by the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) as part of the Liberation and Empowerment: Attaining Dignity and Rights for Sex Workers and their Children in Bangladesh (LEADR) Project in partnership with Action Aid Bang- ladesh.
Mobilizing Communities for Disaster Risk Reduction – The Case of Bangladesh by Dr. Rathana PVDH, Md. Ehsanul Kabir and Md. Shafiqul Islam
This report presents the findings of a research conducted in 5 districts of Bang- ladesh, from February to August 2010, where DIPECHO partners are carrying out Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (CBDRR) projects. The report articulates a thorough understanding of the existing practices and challenges of community mobilization for volunteerism in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR).
